“It’s a weekend where things didn’t go our way, and we’ve had to take a hard look at the details,” said Azam Rangoonwala, Aoki Racing Team Co-Owner & Co-Team Principal.

“We’ve been incredibly consistent this season, and while this result hurts, it’s a valuable learning moment for the team. We’re already deep into analysis, understanding the missteps and ensuring we come back stronger. Our focus now is fully on Monaco, where we plan to return to the top of the Championship."

Round 5 takes place on the iconic waterfront course in Monaco, where Aoki Racing Team will aim to reignite their title charge.

Following a run of strong performances and podium finishes in every round so far this season, Aoki Racing Team faced a more challenging outing in Round 4 at Lake Maggiore – ultimately finishing the weekend in 7th overall.

Qualifying saw the team line up P7, setting up a harder path through the group stages. Mashael Alobaidan’s race took a turn in Race 2 Group Stage 2A, where she was unfortunately disqualified. Dani Clos delivered a strong result with a P2 finish in Race 4 Group Stage 2B, but it meant the team advanced to the Race Off rather than progressing directly to the Finals – a first this season.

In the Race Off, Mashael secured P3 on the road. However, a miscommunication meant the team failed to serve their penalty lap at the designated time, which resulted in relegation to the Place Race. That event was later red-flagged following a major incident between Team Drogba and Team Brazil and Aoki Racing classified  P7 for the weekend.
