Aoki Racing Team is delighted to confirm Sara Misir will race as the team's female pilot for the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship season, partnering Dani Clos, who is retained for Season 3.

Misir makes the switch from Team Blue Rising, whom she represented during the 2025 campaign, as she prepares for her second year in the all-electric powerboat series.

Misir will make her debut for Aoki Racing Team at the opening round of the new season in Jeddah this weekend, as the championship returns to the venue of the team's first ever E1 GP victory 12 months ago.

The Jamaican pilot is one of a number of new additions implemented across the team as we strengthen and build on a much-improved second season in the series, where the team won two of the seven events and finished on the podium three times overall.

“I’m incredibly excited to join Aoki Racing Team and become part of a true racing legacy,” Misir said. “The Aoki family’s passion for racing aligns perfectly with my own values, and I’m proud to represent the team in the E1 Series to continue pushing new limits.”

Co-Team Principal Azam Rangoonwala said: "We're delighted to welcome Sara to the team for 2026 as we bid to improve on a very positive second season in the series.

"Working closely alongside Dani, I believe this pilot line-up has what it takes to push us further towards our goal of winning the UIM E1 World Championship.

"Sara has a proven track record of speed and podiums in this sport, and we look forward to seeing what she'll bring out on the water."

Misir will race for the team throughout E1's biggest-ever season, that sees us racing from Jeddah to Monaco and Miami to the Bahamas.

SARA MISIR JOINS AOKI RACING TEAM TO PARTNER DANI CLOS FOR SEASON 3

On Sunday, Mashael delivered a strong performance with P3 in Group Stage 2A, while Dani took P4 in his run, sending the team into the Race Off. A hard-fought battle saw Mashael finish P4, initially placing the team into the Place Race. However, following a penalty issued to the Race Off winner, Aoki Racing Team was elevated to P3, earning a spot in the all-important Finals.

In the final showdown of the season, Dani pushed to the limit to secure P5, with Mashael closing out her season with another committed drive to P5 in the final heat. Their combined results locked in a competitive finish of P5 for Race 07 and secured 4th place overall in the 2025 UIM E1 Series World Championship standings.

After finishing P8 last season, the team’s leap to P4 marks a significant step forward and highlights the progress, resilience, and unity that defined their campaign.

“I just wanted to say how incredibly proud I am of you guys.” Team Owner Steve Aoki shared his pride in the crew’s growth and grit

“Dani, Mashael, the entire Aoki Racing Team, you all did an incredible job. We’re going to re-group, train hard, and be strong for Season 3. I’m excited. Let’s go.”

With eyes already set on next year, Aoki Racing Team leaves Miami energised, motivated, and determined to return stronger than ever as they continue their pursuit of E1 glory.
