Team Principal, Azam Rangoonwala, was equally buoyant about the early season progress of the team.
"We worked hard over the winter and made some key changes to our operation in a bid to ensure we can compete at the sharp end of the championship this year," he said.
"We've gone through lots of change, with new faces in the team, a new pilot in Dani coming on board. We hope this is the start of something for us."
Aoki Racing Team won't have to wait long to try and capitalise on their opening round victory, with the next race in Doha, Qatar just a month away.
Aoki Racing Team stormed to its first ever UIM E1 World Championship win in the first race of the season Jeddah, in front of Team Owner Steve Aoki.
New pilot Dani Clos and home hero Mashael Alobaidan dominated on water throughout Saturday, picking up three wins out of a possible four throughout heats and finals to give the team Round 1 victory.
The result marks a significant upturn in performance for the team from Season 1, who now lead the World Championship standings for the first time in its history.
"I was here last year and we placed close to last in our first ever race, so it just goes to show the underdog has a chance when you have determination, passion and love for the sport," said Aoki.
"Mashael held it down from the very beginning, she just took off and you couldn't catch her. Dani was awesome in his first race and will bring a lot to us this season."
