Dani returned to action in the Place Race, where he delivered a solid drive to secure P2, finishing just behind Westbrook Racing. It was a positive end to an otherwise demanding weekend in unpredictable conditions.

“This weekend reminded us how fine the margins are at this level,” said Mathilda Wiberg, Co-Team Principal.

“The team worked tirelessly through the weather disruptions and changing formats and we walked away with points on the board and plenty of lessons to take forward. Now the focus shifts to Miami, where we’ll be pushing to bounce back and fight at the front.”

Following on from recent form, the Aoki Racing Team faced a demanding weekend in Round 6 of the UIM E1 Series World Championship, held in the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria, where the team ultimately wrapped up the race weekend with a 7th place overall finish.

A condensed format was adopted due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in a single group stage rather than the usual two on Sunday. Dani Clos was first in the RaceBird, representing the team in Group Stage 1. He delivered a competitive drive, finishing P2 behind Team Brazil, who had a clear pace advantage on the day. The result moved Aoki Racing into the Race-Off, missing out on the Finals - a tough blow given previous form.

In the Race-Off, Mashael Alobaidan took the wheel. Despite a strong start and pushing hard throughout the session, she narrowly missed out on a finals berth with a P4 finish, just outside the qualification zone.
