DUBROVNIK, LAKE MAGGIORE AND LAGOS ADDED TO UIM E1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CALENDAR

Dubrovnik, Lake Maggiore, Lagos - Aoki Racing Team

The following month, across 7-8 November, the series comes to a climax with a first ever race in the United States, in the stunning surroundings of Miami.

Team Principal and Co-Founder Azam Rangoonwala said: "It's great to see three brand new locations added to the calendar to complete the UIM E1 World Championship schedule for 2025.

"From racing in locations with rich powerboating history, iconic scenery and visiting new cities, it's the kind of calendar befitting of E1 and what it represents.

"From a team standpoint, we've had a great start to the season and we'll be putting everything into a busy summer of racing in Europe, before heading out to some fantastic new venues at the end of the campaign."

The UIM E1 World Championship calendar has added three races to its 2025 schedule - completing a stellar year of on-water action.

Following back-to-back podiums in the first two rounds that included Aoki Racing Team's first ever win in Jeddah back in January, the team will head to Croatia for the E1 Dubrovnik GP 2025, presented by Adriatic Luxury Hotels, will see us racing amid the backdrop of a UNESCO World Heritage site from 13-14 June.

A fortnight later, across 27-28 June, the series will return to its spiritual home of Lake Maggiore - where hydrofoil technology was born and the majority of the field, including Mashael Alobaidan and Dani Clos, first tested an E1 RaceBird.

In October, the championship will head to Africa for the first time - to the continent's largest city of Lagos, Nigeria, for its penultimate race of the season.

Team Principal, Azam Rangoonwala, was equally buoyant about the early season progress of the team.

"We worked hard over the winter and made some key changes to our operation in a bid to ensure we can compete at the sharp end of the championship this year," he said.

"We've gone through lots of change, with new faces in the team, a new pilot in Dani coming on board. We hope this is the start of something for us."

Aoki Racing Team won't have to wait long to try and capitalise on their opening round victory, with the next race in Doha, Qatar just a month away.
